Gentlemen & Ladies:

It appears I will not be able to attend WSBK in Monterey this year.  Very disappointing as it is one of my favorite events with a truckload of friends from all over the West.  Bottom line is that my camp spot is available at Turn 5 for 4 nights for $300.  That is what I pay every year so I am not marking it up.  It is an Xtra Large spot, large enough for a big "pusher" mototrhome.
In years past the Park Service made us pay for Sunday Evening.  My invoice states differently and I can scan and send to anyone inyerested.  Spot has running water, power, is level, picnic table, fire pit along with permenent restrooms and showers (with hot water).  Park Service sells firewood so you do not even have to  lug it unless you want.
Truly fun to wake up to the "boys getting frisky" in morning practice.  Also there is one GA ticket that they force me to buy for the spot.  It is $50.00 for all three days.   Same ticket is $95.00 at the gate.  They will give you credit for the ticket if you want to upgrade also.

GM & SL can attest as to how much fun this can be if you have never camped at the track.

Please let me know if interested

No need to apologize.  I'm glad you sold it.  I couldn't justify the cost for just me.
It's about taking in the most corners to your destination, not about the shortest, quickest route.

Dam G.  I'm gonna miss you this year. I pour out some beer in your honor at my camp site. 22slow is going for the first time this year.  We're taking the dirt bikes to ride for transportation to the cork screw.  Looking forward to a real nice time at the track.

GM's taking one of our spots.  I knew there was a reason we bought extra spots!   :laughing

We'll be up in the Upper Corkscrew campground, just above turn 9.

Yo Green Machine.  I thought you were not coming to WSBK?  Now it sounds like your coming.

Post a pic of your trip.

Yo J,

I have almost 200 pics from the trip.  Which one would you like?

Not sure where you got the idea I wasn't coming to WSBK. Tommy said he was selling his site and I said I couldn't justify buying it from him, for just me.  I think you were the only one reading into it that somehow that meant I wasn't coming.

It'll be fun to change it up this year, in a new spot.  Looking forward to it and looking forward to seeing y'all there.  You bringing your new ride to show off?

We're going to be camping in Salinas tomorrow night (Wednesday) and then getting into the campground early Thursday morning.  I plan on spending a couple of hours on Thursday catching up on the WorldSBK races from the UK over the weekend.  The last race we saw was Misano race 1, so tomorrow night in the campground we'll be watching the superpole and race 2.

Bautista is not as familiar with Laguna as Rea, Van der Mark, Sykes, and Davies are.  I'm really hoping to see Haslam put in some good laps too!  We'll be flying a giant green Kawasaki flag right next to the track so hopefully it will be the spirit boost Rea needs to pull a win off.  I'd love to see Haslam on the podium too!

Sara has a giant Ducati flag, but I hid that one.  Team Green baby!!!   8)

See you Thursday AM.  My mouth is already watering for a frosty beer and BBQ sausage sandwich with mustard.
