Motorcycle Road Racing To Bring Heat on Nevada Race Track

Registration for TTP Racing Series Events Now Open
RENO, NV (October 4th, 2010) — Twisted Track Promotions and Pirelli Tires will bring two-wheel adrenaline junkies a weekend of riveting super bike action at the Reno Fernley Raceway Oct. 23 and 24.
The TTP Racing Series is a two day event that delivers the fury of super bike racing to the Nevada desert for both qualifying and placement races. Participating riders have five classes to enter, and each class includes a Super Pole and two races. Race partakers can also take advantage of track practice opportunities.
The lightweight, heavyweight, middleweight, twins and open street qualifying races take place Saturday Oct. 23, and will determine the grid positions for Sunday's main events. 9 a.m. marks asphalts hot, where racers will begin fifteen minute practice laps. The day continues with Super Pole races for all classes, with qualifying times for Sunday's heat races posted at the day's end.
Sunday Oct. 24 brings each class to its climax, opening with a quick practice session and the heat races for individual classes. The main event races begin at 1 p.m., kicking-off with light and middleweight. Prizes for those classes will be given to first, second, and third place in Pirelli Tire contingency money.
The weekend's focal point, Reno Premier "Dash for Cash" race, brings together each individual class for one, all-encompassing race, where the motto "run what you brung" challenges racers to push the limits of their equipment and skills in pursuit of a handsome cash prize. Rider registration money goes into a collective and is matched seventy-five percent by Twisted Track Promotions. It is then dispensed in seven spots, the first five placers receiving cash, and 6th and 7th place scoring more Pirelli contingency money.
The race appeals to both local and regional riders, but offers locals a chance to compete in an event that isn't often offered around Nevada.
"Local riders don't have this," said Twisted Track Promotions founder and organizer, Sam Britt. "This is a great way for locals to unite with California and beyond riders for a chance to win prizes and compete on their own territory."
Additional sponsors include Zoom Zoom, Z2, who will present the open street class race, along with providing contingency money for winners. Super Bike Performance Labs is the official track service sponsor as well.
Registration's open online at TTPRacing.com. A licensed racer can enter the class races for $250, with a $15 up charge for a non-licensed racer. To race in the Reno Premier "Dash for Cash" race, an additional $50 is required.
