Baymont Inns and the Travel lodge are both popular. Skip Holiday Inn Express. It's pricey.
Economy Inn was fun for a bunch of us one time but it's a bit off the beaten path. Good bar (the last stand) across the street though

Rick I usually stay at the Travel Lodge. Ask them for the Thunderhill discount. It's $75.00 and free breakfast. Or you can camp at the track.  They have  very nice showers. I know some do that too.

So, Can I sleep in my car and take shower there at the morning? Do I have to pay to sleep at the paddock?

I believe you can just camp outside the gates to the track. They don't charge you anything for that. Have fun.

PTT site says you can get inside the gates on Saturday night and stay
