hammered 2nd gear on 2000 gsxr 750

BIG SPLASH

 :'(went to drag day with a glitch in my 2nd gear now its alot worse. how extensive is the repair.Ill be in a full leg cast in a few weeks due to a knee surgery. and hope to fix it while im down.Any recomendations? 8)

You have to pull the motor and split bottom of the case to get to the transmissoin. I had to do it on my 00 750 also. They used inferior metal on that gear, many of the 750's had that problem in that year. You will need to get 2nd and 5th gear on top of all the gaskets you'll need.
