Is the gas station in Downieville still closed and have to use the one in Sierra City?

Not sure. I would probably get gas in Sierraville either way just in case.

Out of town, otherwise I would have taken you up on the offer. 

Did you go?  And was there much gravel in the opening corners on the West site of Yuba?
