My guess is that the server was overloaded from people trying to sign in and was non-responsive to you.

Can you sign in now?

I've heard this complaint from tons of people; the site was shitting the bed this weekend.

Sometimes you can use a VPN service to log into the site from another location.  For example, I use https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/ as my VPN service (not for MotoGP specifically, but I can use it for this too).  You can choose to connect to the Video Pass site from Europe, Asia, other parts of the U.S., etc.

If it's actually the Video Pass source server itself that is the problem then a VPN won't help at all.  Often, though, companies set up separate sets of servers to serve different geographical regions.  If it's your region-specific server that's a problem then a VPN could help.

Havent had any issues with watching moto GP and worked fine for Qatar race.    I did add the moto GP channel to our Roku but it only streamed live so had to connect the laptop to watch the race delayed on my schedule, disappointed in their channel.

Good race and happy Cal did so well  :)
