Post by: PAPASMURF on October 07, 2016, 10:57:59 PM
Going to downeville via la Port.
300 mile or so. Road from challenge (Oregon hill)
To hwy 49 I guess is what some might call a goat rd.
About 14 miles. Lunch in la port or place called
One eyed jacks. Never been there but
It looked busy each time I've gone by.
KSU 9am 4-bucks w mccarran

We have a big wedding next weekend, our daughters, so we have been busy with that and avoiding riding last month or so just to be safe.  Have fun, should be a beautiful day for a ride, love this time of year.

Yeah rich you were right. Was great day for a ride. A
whole lotta chilly though starting out. Stopped in sierraville
and waited with a cup of coffee, then it was off to see the
wizard. Got gas in Quincy-Note to me- .10 - .15 cents cheeper
at the 76 station than here - 2.89. After the ghost story from
GM about his bad gas, just went there.  Then to la port👍Just
Love that road. 30 miles of heaven. Ended up at One Eyed Jacks
for lunch. I'd go back again, good Ortega burger👌Then to 49.
Found one LEO parked DEEP in the shade just doing visual 's i
Think. Back home by 4:30. Thinking of doing it again on Sunday
But starting a wee bit later.LOL. Hope your wedding preparations
Went good too.

Good ride PS, nice to take in a slightly different route around that area.

Almost 300mi on the dot. I haven't been putting in that many miles on the GSXR lately and I'm kind of feeling it today, time to crack a cold one and relax.  :chilling

I think I passed you a few weeks back on LaPorte Rd. I just returned from an east coast ride, got the old Sprint out of my sisters basement and rode the world famous 11 mile Dragon. I have never seen so many bikes, cars, trucks, etc, luckily I got over early enough to avoid them. The Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Pkwy were fun too, and no one there either. And I can be called Papa Smurf back east as my bike is a Smurf! There were photographers on every corner!
