Off the bike subject, I need help in machining an helicoidal gear for my ravioli machine that busted today. If anybody has any info/connection with a capable machine shop please pm me or post here.

Alberto,

I am good friends with a toolmaker (probably the best in Reno) who has machines in his home shop. BUT!!....

What part of the gear is broken, helical gears are not easy to machine, if it is just a matter of repair, or is it actually cutting new teeth?

Amrak machine can help you if you need the helical teeth cut. I can't find the Phone number right now, I will post it later.

Gear cutting will be expensive.

Tell him Ted sent ya!! You won't like the price (shop time is spendy at any machine shop), but maybe they will try to work something out. John is a real good egg.
