April 18th, the Carson City Sheriffs Office Motor Unit is hosting a car and motorcycle show and shine event at the Harley-Davidson dealership just off the freeway on Research Way. The show is open to everyone. The cost is $20 per entry. All proceeds are going to help local motor officers go to Washington DC for the peace officer memorial in order to dedicate our fellow officers name (Larry Canfield out of Sac. County Cal.) on the memorial, while in DC we also help with escorting families and other duties.
The event will have numerous categories to win trophies. If you want to come hang out for the day there will be a DJ, food, beer and kids events. we are expecting numeorus car and motorcycle clubs, we will be having some car hoping and anything else that we can think of. There will be a vendors section so if any of the shops want to set up booths, we are asking for $100 donation.
It would be very, very cool if we could get SSA members to come hang out and show off their bikes, we will be giving away a seperate trophy to the club with the most participation.
This is fun for the entire family, including emergency services vehicles that will be on hand, antique fire trucks, cop cars and so on. Spread the word. I have designated an SSA area for us, bring an 'easy-up' and anything you want to show off...(and bring $20, it's a fundraiser). Thanks !!

Sounds like fun give me something to look forward to and just another excuse to clean and polish the bike :) You do mean for $20 bucks we are "in" the show and shine right?
