Post by: Suckerpunch on June 29, 2010, 10:37:47 PM
Names Daniel.

Im 33 and live in N Carson city. Im riding a 1999 TL1000R. Looking for social gatherings,  group rides, BBQ's, and boobies.

I also like books, beautiful sunsets, and long walks on the beach.  ;D

Thanks guys. This bike is new to me. Pick it up only last night! Its a blast. I come from a cruiser and never thought a bike like this could be so much fun. Talk about handling like on rails, DAMN! Two thumbs up!

Only thing I need to do pretty quick is have the fork seals changed. Both are leaking pretty bad.

;D

Is there a suspension performance shop for sport bikes in Reno? (for the fork seals)

Zoran (TWF on the board) is the MASTER at suspension for that zuki. 2wcp (Steve) is also another good source. He posts here also.

Ditto suckerpunch. I would take me bike to either one and feel safe about doing so. :D

The SSA does rides both South and North (see the ride schedule) on Sundays. We have a 'south' chapter down in Gardnerville. We meet on Monday nights at the Mexican restaurant just past Sharkeys on the right in Gardnerville (The New El Rancho Grande). We also have started doing dinner rides on Thursdays. We can go anywhere. Last week we rode to Kirkwood for dinner at the Kirkwood Inn. We'll ride up to Reno for the Thursday bike nights and VC for dinner etc. You are welcome to hook up with us anytime.

Daniel "suckerpunch" Jacobsen. (I use to be a fighter and just cant let go) ::)

Just picked up a 1999 TL 1000R up here in Portland OR. I will be making a move back home to Carson city on July 15th. I picked a sport bike mainly because of its style and to help improve my nerdy image a bit (Im just a poser) ;D I went with the TLR because of the V-twin power, sound, and unbelievable handling (it was really the price). Im defiantly a very social person and looking to do group rides, bike nights, and to check out everyones girl friend.  ;)

Really want to get on the road with local riders soon.

Daniel Welcome ;) again. I wanted to let you also know I love the sound of the TL. I've heard a lot of things about the bike. But the sound is really cool. Their a real beast. Are you going to come the race Track with that? We have one in August if your interested. If not we'll hopefully see you on a Sunday ride.
