Title: Miller Motorsports park hotel
Post by: Oneup on May 05, 2009, 07:41:37 PM
I finally convinced my boss to let me have the weekend off for the Keigwin's Miller trackdays this year.  I am trying to do the same hotel that we did last year.  I can get a discount but I need to book the rooms in advanced.  Last year I think it came to 35 per person per night.  I think I can get it cheaper this year but I need to book within the next two weeks.  Anyone who is going to go this year and wants a hotel room just post up or pm me by the 17th of May.  I will reserve the rooms on the 18th.

How can you get cheaper? Is it depend for how many people you going to book?
Also, how did you guys do last year? When did you guys leave from Reno and how many riders can fit in one room?

I get a discount through family but there are only limited rooms available.  The price doesn't go down with more rooms.  They are two bed hotel rooms and last year we had two people in each room.  When we go down there we try to be comfortable.  The closest hotel I get a discount at is about a half hour from the track.  We stayed there last year and it worked out pretty well.  It is about a seven to eight hour drive from Reno.  Last year most of us got to Salt Lake about 8p.m.  I'm not sure what time everyone will be leaving this year.  I'm coming from the Bay Area so I will be on the road by 6a.m.

Well, I’m not live in Reno either. I live in Tahoe City. Sounds very good to me! Please count me in and let me know when you need the money. Also I was wondering if we can save expenses on this trip like fitting more bikes in one truck for example. If we share things we save a lot of money. The reason that I’m saying this because I don’t think my old Jeep Comanche can get that far… ;D ;D ;D But I'll try if I do not get any help...

Rick Tahoe, you can ride with Jerome and I if you want. We have room. We just need to figure a way to get your bike here. Call me and we'll figure it out. 775-772-2136

Do you each need a room or just one spot for each of you. I won't need money till we get to Miller.

Are you going this year Tom?

Oneup, I need lodging.

We should probably arrange transport in another thread. I was going to suggest a B.F.T.  (Big Freakin' Trailer)

Title: Re: Miller Motorsports park hotel

I'm going to break this down by number of beds.  2 beds equal one room.  If you need one bed but want a room to yourself you will still be charged for 2 beds.
Okay, this is who I have as of now:

Greg- 1 bed

Rick Tahoe- 1 bed

Jerome- 2 beds

Andy- 2 beds

Eric- 1 bed

Peter-1 bed

Dino- 2 beds

Sydney- 2 beds

Chip- 1 bed

So far I have 7 rooms needed.  This will also leave space for one more person should they decide to come.  If anyone has any changes let me know as soon as possible.  Tomorrow evening I will book the rooms.  Also, if someone wants a room to themselves but only needs one bed let me know.  It won't change the pricing but I might be able to get a better room for that person.  I will give you the price as soon as I book the rooms.

Title: Re: Miller Motorsports park hotel
Post by: Oneup on May 20, 2009, 08:06:14 PM
Okay, I have reserved 7 rooms.  They way my discount works is I only get a discount on a certain number of rooms.  Every room after that it is full price.  I booked all of the rooms and divided it up evenly.  To make it easier on myself all of them have two queen beds.  This is what it comes to for each person:

Greg-  $73

Rick Tahoe-  $146

Jerome-  $146

Andy-  $146

Eric-  $73

Peter-  $73

Dino-  $146

Sydney-  $73

Chip-  $73

As of now there is still one extra bed left if someone else decides to come.  If someone does come the prices will go down.  Also if someone cancels the prices will go down.  These prices are for both nights including tax(which for some reason is over 12%).  There is a pretty lenient policy on cancellations so if for some reason someone won't be able to make it please let me know by the 10th.

In case I forget to post this later here is the address:
Comfort Inn Airport/International Center
200 N Admiral Byrd Rd.
Salt Lake City, UT 84116

If anyone needs to get ahold of me for any reason my cell is (775) 287-8242.  I can be reached after 5p.m every day.  I will also be available all day on the 12th.

If you want I can cancel one of the rooms.  As it is right now one person will be getting a room to themselves.  If someone shares a room with you Andy then I can cancel a room and drop the price for everyone.
