Title: AFM 4-hr? OR Willow Springs 6-hr?
Post by: independent on January 23, 2010, 10:07:48 PM
What's the word on this year's AFM endurance race?

It's not called out on their website's schedule, that I can see.

Are they waiting to choose a date?

I don't think they are doing an endurance race this year. :'(

Bummer!

Is anyone interested in doing the willow springs 6-hr? I think it'll be on the saturday of their september race weekend.

I might be willing & able to ride, or just go along as pitcrew.

WERA Miller is the same weekend as the AFM Infineon round 3.  Miller is definitely a better track but if you plan on running a full season with someone it makes it difficult.

Yeah it sure does make it tough. Last October's AFM round at Buttonwillow was cancelled so we were able to do the final Miller round which was full course. I was hoping to do it again but this year both final rounds are the same weekend. I guess I will have to see where me and my buddies are in points to decide which one to attend.

I'm worried that I might have to decide between AFM round 4 and Keigwins track days at Miller.  I guess I'll see how I do in Clubman.

I didn't consider Miller in May.  Would that be the week before WSBK?
I may be doing AHRMA vintage races at Willow in april, so might not have the budget for a may event.
I could be pitcrew, though.
