I'm wondering how RR did with is turbo outfitted CBR.  No word from him as of yet.
It's about taking in the most corners to your destination, not about the shortest, quickest route.

I'm betting the turbo spooled up just as he hit the bumps before Riverside and it launched him straight into low orbit. Bust out your telescope and you will see him up there.

The day was  a great success with only a few minor hiccups. Morning I sheared bolts trying to torque spec things, lesson being don't use autozone torque wrenches for small torques. I also brought far too small of an SD card (only got one and a half vids on my gopro) and my buddy's camera wrote a bunch of corrupt files...so there isnt much in the way of documentation of the day. Hoping some friends and other riders got good vid.

First few sessions I looked like an idiot squid doing wheelies everywhere because that little bit of extra power at sea level was enough to catch me off guard (I'm sure I was being rougher on the throttle too just being excited). I also made quite the show coming down the home straight doing tank slappers almost every time. Went to Dave Moss to tweak my suspension after a particularly nasty one during the second session and it largely stopped the tank slapper non-sense...but did nothing for my heavy wrist.

Turned up the boost for the last two two sessions (half way for one, balls out for the other). Felt like I twelve-o-clocked it coming down the straight when the power hit the first time that session, was not expecting that at all.

Otherwise it was a great day. I few people went off our down throughout the day but everyone walked away no prob. Some other CBR900 fan boy saw that I was packing heat and ended up crashing trying to chase me down (I heard him hit the deck and my friends said he was passing like a dick, point being don't CHASE people. Just ride)

Once I get my one vid loaded I'll post up what ever media I have here!

I don't know what a twelve-O'clock is, but sounds like it was a terrific day and a great result before your second outing to Willows.

Looking forward to the video.

This is a 12-o-clock (Actually closer to 11, lol)

I don't think mine was anywhere near as bad, but it felt like it haha.

Black Betty towed two bike's fine, I think the Camaro probably has best in class towing :P

Bike at the end of the day, still in one piece

Running through melted snow was not fun

For either vehicle...

Thankfully water helps

Nicely done on the write-up RR!

I'm amazed you're back already.  Weather looked spectacular for your outing.  Almost seems sad that you had to come back to the cold.

Nice job at handling that track too.  It looked fairly beat up.  Not quite as bumpy as RFR, but there were some spots that jarred the front.  You probably startled some of the other riders by how quickly you were able to accelerate.  If only the CBR could brake a little better, it would be the complete package.

It's obvious you like speed.

Any front wheel jarring you saw was just head shake from the front end being light and having old stock suspension. Most of it anyways.
Braking was me being a little b*tch. I can (and have) brake MUCH harder. Did some ok braking later in the day, hoping there's a chase vid somewhere. Now that im more familiar with the power im hoping i can give thill a good run!
