I am thinking about changing my stock black wheels on my 07 r6 to the stock gold wheels found on some of the 08 r6's. here is an example of my bike, and the stock 08.

Does it save some weight? If no, then; Tires > Suspension (or vice versa) > everything else BUT if you've money burning in your pocket then go for it...or you can donate to Andrei's trying to go racing fund and just put it in mine.

I would powder coat your original ones.  I like the black ones better than the gold ones personally.

I try to do nothing if it's purely cosmetic. BUT If it is free and you like it, I say go for it
