Dave is thinking about going, so we call "Derek" at Miller. I bother Derek so often he is remembering me by first name now.
Derek tells me there is an Apex track day; the day after the WSB races (that would be Tuesday the day after Memorial Day)............. ahhhh..
So there you have it.

Well it looks like MR DR1150 will have a campsite, as will I. We both are "planning" to do the track day on Tuesday.
I am thinkin the KZ will be the bike to ride, I am looking at spending another 5 bills on it in Jan. and it will be running. The KZ will look good in the back of the truck during the races anyway.

Anyway the camping sight is 275 on Momentum mountain, Tickets are extra I think for Mrs. Cobra 23 and I it was 475 total (tickets n campsight).
Mr fast guy DR1150 and I now have spaces right next to each other on Momentum mountain. General campsights are about 100 less than the premier country club Mountain area. The view from the montain is well worth it.
The track day that follows is 259 thats for the perimeter full course... but you can double check me redneck cypherin yerself..

Mr Dr1150 and I have campspots right next to each other so we can have all kinds of room to have fun you know the simple stuff like Ice tea, folding chairs and the occasional empty ten gallon race fuel barrel exploding 50 feet into the air.

I don't know about the volunteer thing, I do know Miller organizes the flaggers, i B.S. with them whilst drinkin me beer.
There is a guy named Derek, who seems to remember me by first name, he helps me on the phone with the camping circus, cause you know i am the guy moving me site all over cause the brother in law, or DR1150 is coming and I want to be a pain and move us all closer.
Anyway Derek will certainly know how to get you hooked up, and I know they were almost short on people the first year I was there. They're gonna want you to wear all white, and they give the guys breaks to walk through the pits and all that.

An operator will answer, then ask for Derek, he is sharp and always knows what is going on.

I'm thinking to leave the Bay Area on May 27th. I probably will be working there on May 28th, 29th and 30th.
Track day on 31st and drive back on Jun 1st.
Well, I was thinking to rent a RV for this vacation also wondering if someone wants to go too.

I am told it is real easy to over cook the turns at miller, so I went with the C group.
I'll probably be in "B" and perhaps move up if needed in the afternoon.

New news for cobra 23.
Friday April 29th got all blowed up on dirtbike. 3 days in Trauma Care. Torn kidney, cracked ribs, broken two bones in hand, 4 or 5 in side of skull.
Doc says no ridee ridee for 8 weeks. If i crash again, i lose mr. kidney. I like mr. kidney, so i obey mr. doctor.
So I have a trackday purchased from Apex day after WSB at miller, if it is transferable, it's up for grabs.
Tying with left hand sucks.
I am rock hard and once again proven to be "indestructable".
It was a 45mph get off in the desert. Unconcious for 7-10 min. YEE HAW m----F----er LETS ROCK!!
