Does anyone know if camping is still allowed? Who all is camping? Can we set up Friday night?
Call Danny.....775-745-1278 ;D
yes camping is allowed and im sure i will be there friday night
tammy and i are planning on early saturday morning. it appears they have friday nite drags so camping friday nite may be iffy. we are planning on the pop up, generator, pit bike, big ass bbq grille. we can sleep one other couple if anyone is interested. we wont be riding for the track days but maybe the taste of the track and will volunteer where we can. jerome do you need corner flagger help?
I think is so much fun camping at the track. I'd love to but I do not have anything for camping. So I have to drive back after the drag. I do not mind... :P
Just got my tickets....YEY!!!! ;D

Wow 99 men It's seems like awesome. Thanks for offering that to me. I'll confirm to you soon. Iupiiii ::)
Hey Dale... Are you going to the track this weekend?
I am going only for the drag and Sunday.

Oh really. Well I'll see you next time then. Maybe next month for the other track day...
Got any extra fluid bags for this weekend, Tino?
I have to bow out for this weekend even though I am signed up. These 90-100 deg days are making it mandatory to work. Jerome has mail!
Hey 99 rider. I think I'm gonna sleep on the back of my truck. Probably I'll take my girlfriend with me then both of us will try to fit there. Will be fun. Thanks a lot men I really apreciate your offer. See you at the track saturday night and Sunday.
Hey guys, looking forward to seeing you all up there this weekend. Bummer that n10sive won't be there ???
Will there be tire services?
Will there be suspension services?
spl will be providing tires pirelli and michelin
All signed up. See you guys there!! ;D
Thanks quinn!
Pete's gonna be there??? AWESOME! I can give you your DVD rather than having to ship it :) Hope you like My Chemical Romance and Disturbed lol
My first SSA trackday and have a few questions: Is it bring your own lunch? Are there transponders for an XT ultra lap timer? Any photographers there? Thanks
There is a catering truck comes at lunch time.
NO "official" lap timers but some of the guys bring their own and set up their transponders
Joe from 4theriders.com will be there taking pictures.
I know I'm looking good, but whats wrong here?

Hey guys I'm sorry for the yellow flag today. Too much power on turn 9A ... Then, I lost the rear. Nothing on the bike broken just a few scratches on the right hand side. I am totally well my leathers worked fine. Nothing hurts at all it was a kick sliding when I tried to leave from the turn a little hard to do a passing. Well Well, my first crash... :-\ :-\
Great weekend, thanks!!! ;D
I had great fun, too!
Thanks to all the B-group guys who made clean passes on me, i'm not used to riding anything with more than two cylinders. (Mine was the yellow/black Triumph 600)
Had to spend a lot of time remembering to shift!!

lol on the replies. but check out the guy behind me. where's he going?
He smelled the Jet A fuel comin' outa ur pipe and decided he didn't want anything to do with you.
Thanks to all who came out to help out and support the SSA. You guys are great.
Kudos to all those Instructors willing to wear those Yellowish Greenish Vests. I really have to do something to help you out. You guys were hot and tired and kept coming to the Grid. Thanks. ;D I just can't express how much I appreciate everything you done.
I think for our August 18th date I'll have to give each instructor 1 hour off. Just so you can pace yourselves. We'll start with the Oldest one and let him pick the hour he wants off and just work our way down. That's my Idea. What do you think? Give me another way to help you out in all that heat?
A working lap timer beacon would be nice.... ::) ;D
thanks everyone, for a great weekend! and for letting me ride your bikes. and for giving me money. and then for even feeding me sunday night! :D
all you guys are awesome!!!
i'm bringing a hydration pack, next time... Hell, maybe even a tank bag!

Thank you Jerome for the opportunity. I really enjoy being out there trying to help as much as I can. If anybody I instructed has any feedback please let me know. I would really like to hear how I can improve in helping.
On your idea of giving some time off throughout the day, sounds good, but I'll tell you now, I'll still be out there as much as possible. Even in the heat, still can never get enough of riding.
I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to SSA for a really great day at RFR! This was my first trackday with a provider other than Z2, and you guys were just STELLAR!! It was also my first solo track day, but I met so many awesome people, and had so many people swing by to check on me, chat, and hang out, that I didn't feel like an "outsider" at all! I'd like to think it wasn't just because I had a bucket of icewater with towels in it, however... ;D
I also wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Eddie... he was a great instructor, incredibly patient, and helped me to make some real improvements in my riding, and I'm really looking forward to doing another track day with you guys again... maybe when it cools off just a bit, though... lolz
Thanks again, for an epic day at RFR!
Glad to hear everyone had so much fun. I will definitely be at the next one in August.
Right on Andy.... :P

lap3 2:49
lap4 2.45 one of my best so far.
hey everyone... i totally realized tonight that i screwed up on the pics. there were still ~600 pics from all three groups on SUNDAY that i somehow missed and didn't sort in with the general pic population... "wtf?!" i know, huh? hahah! anyways, i'm rebatching out the photos from SUNDAY and i'm going ro reupload them all tonight.
check in the morning and you'll find that there's probably 2 or 3 different corners/angles in there that you didn't see at the track or online before.
my bad! heehee. thanks everyone!
^I mentioned to peter that he had this awesome shot from Toe(?) in a corner that was practically on his face...I didn't have one of that. It was an awesome angle to say the least.

it depends on your line... this is the same spot; you're just on a different line, so it's not so "in your face."

Buttonwillow is a fun track. Long drive but still a fun track. Worth the trip if you ask me. Since you asked so nicely I guess I will say yes...but no guarantee you won't make any stupid mistakes. :P Even the best guys crash now and again. It's part of the game, especially if your pushing yourself to improve.
QuoteMaybe I need to change the right brake levers because it is a little bit bent...
If it is still comfortable for you, you don't "need" to change it unless it is for cosmetic reasons. If you have to reach for it or don't like how it feels because it's bent I would definitely recommend replacing it. 8)
