Title: FI light on the 2001 f4i
Post by: mase on March 25, 2009, 08:14:16 AM
As I was riding home from work this morning I noticed teh FI light was on.  It went thru it's normal sequence when I turned the key on.  It did not blink and the bike ran just fine.  When I got home I let turned it off and let it sit for about 30 minutes.  When I went back out, I turned the bike on and started it, everything seemed to be just fine.  Air filter, re-program the power commander, service light?  Any ideas.  I'm going on a road trip in a few weeks and would like to take care of it before I leave.

Thanks.

So it runs fine but your FI light remains on? The only time that has happened to me is when the air flow sensor was upset with me. You can borrow my sensor to test it if you want...

Well, I think it had to do with the air flow sensor, just in a little different way.  I cleaned the air cleaner and the weather has heated up about 7-10 degrees in the am.  Seams to be working fine now.

Thanks for the offer.
