Title: Yamaha stepping way up
Post by: edmunsan on May 09, 2010, 10:54:19 PM
A major supporter of land-use rights and trail developement, Yamaha has again stepped up huge in defense of our right to ride. It was recently announced that the company's GRANT (Guaranteeing Responsible Access to our Nation's Trails) reached a 2 year total of $1.3 million, making Yamaha a huge contributor to the futureof the sport. The program, which award GRANT's to deserving project's has helped to fund things like trail restoration and maintenance, map production, land stewardship and education, and has gone to organizations like Calafornia Trail Users Coalition, the Nebraska Off-Highway Vehicle Association, the Freinds of Florida State Forest and many others across the nation. You can find more information on Yamaha's OHV Access Initiative as well as updated guidlines and an application form at www.yamaha-motor.com/ohvaccesss. Well done , Big Blue! I support Yamaha's efforts, but they are doing this for business reasons.
I hope the others follow suit.
