AVG sport seems like kind of a cheep company...but I wore and old one for a long time and went down in it twice on the same side. the only thing that happened was a 4 inch part of the seam let out in my fore arm right under the armor. Some of the cosmetic leather came off, but otherwise its still good. For that price, id say its a steal... especially for someone looking to get into riding.
