Unsupported or otherwise, be careful out there.

Discuss fuel stops and wait for everyone to regroup.
Stop at every intersection and wait for the rest.
Have people pair up (buddy system)

Do this and nobody rides above their head trying to keep up.
Enjoy yourself.

Thanks for the tip.  I'll do my best ADRAGON pre-ride schpeel.  ;)
It's about taking in the most corners to your destination, not about the shortest, quickest route.
