Title: Chain Slack
Post by: JetFueler on August 12, 2009, 12:14:32 AM
How much chain slack should I have on my CBR1000?

I was told 1 inch to 1.5 inches.  Is that with me on the bike or off the bike?
I'd say right now it is at 1 inch.  Fairly new chain too.  Thanks for your input.
Very much appreciated.  God bless.

As others have said, it is usually with just the weight of the bike. Owners manual will give you the correct numbers and remember that a little loose is better than a little tight when it comes to a chain.
